Du Boisé Library – Ventilation Systems Installation
Complete ventilation of a LEED-certified institutional building.
Ventilation project carried out in Saint-Laurent (Quebec) over a period of 1 year and 7 months, with a total value of more than $1.4 million. The work involved the installation of several new ventilation systems throughout the entire building, in a context of special architecture and significant constraints (work at height, variable-angle ceilings). The building is LEED-NC 1.0 Gold certified, with solutions focused on energy performance and energy recovery.
Site-specific constraints
Special architecture, work at height, and variable-angle ceilings, requiring an installation approach adapted to the volumes and physical constraints of the spaces.
Mechanical systems and capacity
The mechanical rooms include eight (8) modular units as well as two (2) fresh air systems with thermal wheels for energy recovery. One of the units reaches a height of 3.58 m.
LEED-NC 1.0 Gold-certified building, with energy recovery via thermal wheel.
Technology
Cannon-type air diffusers with adjustable angles, designed to optimize air distribution according to the variable geometry of the ceilings.
