1977
Company founding
Two brothers, Réginald and Lionel Sergerie, both seasoned refrigeration technicians, founded Les entreprises de réfrigération LS, located in St-Louis (Terrebonne).
1983
Arrival of the sons
The founders’ respective sons joined Les entreprises de réfrigération LS, and the offices were relocated to 2921 Dagenais Boulevard in Laval.
1985
Creation of a new sheet metal division
Initially specializing in refrigeration work and the maintenance of air conditioning systems, Les entreprises de réfrigération LS expanded its offerings to include new sheet metal services.
1986
Arrival of Maurice Péladeau at LS
LS Refrigeration brought on a new building systems technician, Maurice Péladeau, who brings extensive experience working with downtown buildings.
1988
LS Refrigeration relocate
Due to strong growth in its operations, LS Refrigeration moved from Dagenais Boulevard to its current offices on Guillet street in Laval. The office space increased from 1,200 square feet to more than 5,000 square feet.
1990
First major contracts
LS Refrigeration was entrusted with the installation of an artificial ice rink as well as the air conditioning systems for a prestigious 51-storey tower, 1000 de La Gauchetière.
1993
Acquisition of a piping company
To meet the steadily growing demand for building mechanical work, LS Refrigeration acquired the specialized piping firm Plomberie Bellerose Inc.
1997
Change in leadership
The time for new challenges has arrived. Mr. Sylvain Sergerie and Maurice Péladeau take the helm of LS Refrigeration.
2001
The company continues its growth
Due to its continued growth, LS Refrigeration appointed one of its highly experienced project managers, Mr. Dany Lepage, as a partner.
2003
Completion of a major contract
The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec inaugurates its new building, which includes the air conditioning systems installed by LS Refrigeration.
2010
Strategic evolution of the company
— Preparing the next generation
Daniel Valiquette, a long-time project manager, becomes a partner in the group. This milestone marks a key step in the company’s succession planning.
— Refocusing operations and strategic acquisition
That same year, Les entreprises de réfrigération LS sold its plumbing division to concentrate its activities on air conditioning and refrigeration. As part of this strategy, the company acquired Syraco, a contractor specializing in applied air conditioning.
Daniel Valiquette, a long-time project manager, becomes a partner in the group. This milestone marks a key step in the company’s succession planning.

Securing a major air conditioning contract: the CUSM
LS secured a major mandate: the air conditioning contract for Buildings A and B of the new CUSM hospital was awarded to the company.

The end of an era
After more than 35 years of leading LS with passion and commitment, its founder, Réginald Sergerie, takes a well-deserved retirement, leaving behind a legacy of rigor and success.
2013
Securing a major ventilation contract: the CHUM
LS Refrigeration secured another major mandate: the ventilation contract for Blocks A and D of the CHUM in Montréal.

LS celebrates its 40th anniversary at the Bell Center
LS reaches an important milestone by celebrating its 40th anniversary. This achievement positions the company as a leader in Québec in the design, installation, and maintenance of refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients.
2024
Expansion and continuity
— Merger with Groupe Climater
Les entreprises LS merge with Groupe Climater, a company based in Toulouse, France. This union marks the beginning of a new era of expansion and growth for the organization.
— Leadership transition
At the same time, Mr. Sylvain Sergerie, President of LS, takes a well-deserved retirement. He hands over leadership of the company to Mr. Daniel Valiquette and Dany, ensuring continuity in vision and leadership.
