CUSM – McGill University Health Centre
Deployment of high-performance HVAC systems for a major hospital complex.
Project carried out in Montréal (Québec) over a period of 3 years, representing an investment of over $20,000,000. The work involved a hospital center composed of multiple buildings, requiring the installation of very high-performance heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to meet the most stringent clinical and technical requirements.
Site complexity and scale
The complex includes buildings of more than 10 storeys, requiring rigorous design and implementation of HVAC systems to ensure reliability, redundancy, and performance across all levels.
Air quality and filtration
The installed systems provide high levels of filtration, with air treatment reaching up to 100%, ensuring superior air quality suited to a hospital environment.
Technical and medical spaces
Mechanical and technical work was carried out in Blocks A and B, including consultation rooms, examination rooms, minor surgery suites, and magnetic resonance imaging rooms, each with specific requirements for ventilation and climate control.
Technologies used The systems integrate advanced HVAC technologies, including high-performance filtration and chilled beam systems, to meet the complex demands of medical and technical environments.
