Installation and optimization of an ammonia refrigeration system for an arena.

Project carried out in Montréal (Québec), representing an investment of over $800,000. The work involved the installation of a new ammonia refrigeration system, designed to improve the arena’s performance, safety, and energy efficiency.

Refrigeration system

Installation of an ammonia refrigeration system (R-717) with a capacity of 71 refrigeration tons (TR), incorporating a U-type droplet separator to optimize system operation and reliability.

Optimization of the refrigerant charge

Precise optimization of the refrigerant charge to 168 lb, contributing to improved overall performance and reduced required volumes without compromising efficiency.

Optimized ammonia refrigeration system for performance, safety, and energy efficiency.
